Previously, Daytonas were outfitted with metal or aluminum bezels. Rolex’s ceramic material – aka “Cerachrom” – has since become the standard because it’s more durable, lustrous, and doesn’t fade or corrode as easily as aluminum. It has a more contemporary aesthetic that speaks to many modern collectors. Unfortunately, this model has since been discontinued.
